
Pool Rules
Hiwassee Valley Pool Rules
- No running, extreme splashing, horseplay, wrestling or
dunking.
- No Frisbee's, pencil squirt guns, pointed objects or hard
objects of any kind (balls, basketballs, footballs, etc.).
- No swimming for youths unless lifeguard is on duty or
accompanied by an adult.
- All persons under 18 years of age who want to swim in the
deep end must first be given the deep end test by the lifeguard on duty.
- No diving in shallow water - diving is permitted in 9
feet ONLY.
- All jumps must be feet first and facing forward. No
twisting or backwards jumps.
- No food, drinks, gum, or glass allowed in pool area.
- Flotation devices are only allowed if there is less than
15 patrons in the pool.
- Kickboards, balls, rings and other toys/devices may be
used at the lifeguard's discretion as long as there are less than 15 people
in the pool and the devices are being used correctly.
- Persons with open sores or rashes of unknown origins are
not allowed in the pool.
- Proper bathing suits required. Cut-offs
NOT allowed in the pool and DiapersNOT
allowed in pool. "Little Swimmer Swim
Diapers" must be worn by in the pool by all infants and toddlers
while in the pool by those who are not completely potty trained.
- The stairs are for entry and exit from the water only.
Sitting or standing on the stairs , climbing on the railings, swimming
through the railings, or under the stairs will not be permitted.
- Patrons must shower before entering the pool areas.
- Pool will be CLOSED
during thunder and lightening storms for 30 minutes.
- Alcohol or drug use is
prohibited.
- Children ages 11 and under
cannot enter the pool unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Management reserves the right to deny the use of the pool
to anyone at anytime.
Description of Pool Classes - Experience the Pool!!!

Water Arthritis - Calm water workout concentrating on
flexibility and stretching.

Water Aerobics - Targets all the body - plenty of cardio.

Hydro Yo-Chi - A fusion of Tai-Chi and yoga. Use of
muscular contractions, balance betterment and improved relaxation through
moving meditation with applied aquatic principles. A 15 minute warm-up
before class starts.

Cardio Circuit - A fun mix of cardio and toning, you will
get wet!!

H2O Cardio - Deep water class providing a safe way to run
without impact of a hard surface. Great Cardio!!
Lap swimmers: With the tremendous interest in family
programming, instructional classes, and general use of lap lanes; our Aquatics
center pool times is precious. Thank you for your patience and indulgence. We
will offer a minimum of one lap lane throughout the day. Please understand that
we are doing are best to make time available for everyone.
